Hvar island

A medieval harbour


Hvar island offers a typical Mediterranean climate, with about 30 degrees in Summer, and 15 degrees in winter.
This cute little medieval port attracts lots of attention from May to September.
Hvar is accessible by ferry from Split in 2 hours or by bus from Hvar town.

Pakleni Islands, called "the 20 inlets", approximately 10km long, are facing Hvar town.

The Fortica castle, named Spanjola, was built on the 16th century. It provides an amazing panoramic sea view.

Hvar was truly famous for its Lavanda production, before people started to migrate to larger cities.
Still, further to July crop, you may purchase lots of by-product regarding the local lavanda.
